It's My Child too! 

It's My Child Too! is a curriculum for fathers. This is new curriculum provides parenting training for young fathers who may be having difficulty moving into the role of parenthood. The curriculum was piloted in 1995-1996 with young fathers, about half of whom were temporarily incarcerated. The participants reported increased understanding of:

        the role of father in children's lives

        ways to interact with children

        appropriate approaches to child discipline

        effective ways to cope with stress

        appropriate communication with their child's mother

        responsibilities of fatherhood
