Horticulture

Purdue Publications Page -- Download many of Purdue University's bulletins for free!  (Many require Adobe Acrobat to open)

Extension Notes:  On-line copies of Larry Caplan's weekly column with the Evansville Courier & Press.

Hort Alerts:  This is a free service of the Vanderburgh County Extension Service.  Hort Alerts are e-mails sent out on an irregular basis, whenever a news-worthy item of horticultural interest comes through my office.  Past Hort Alerts have let area gardeners know about the appearance of new pest problems, equipment recalls, and upcoming educational programs.  The link goes to the main page, from where you can download past Hort Alerts, as well as read the Impact that Hort Alerts has on the community.  Items of timely nature (like announcing an upcoming class) will be removed once the date has passed.

Links to Horticulture Web Sites of Interest -- A collection of web sites that I find useful or interesting.  Topics include:

Emerald Ash Borer Home Page -- This Web site is part of a multistate effort in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana to bring you the latest information about emerald ash borer.

Vanderburgh County Commercial Horticulture page -- This page is to keep professional horticulturists updated on local topics and programs.

Southwestern Indiana Master Gardener Association, Inc. -- Learn more about the Master Gardener program, and download an application form.  Members can download volunteer record sheets and other forms.

Weird World of Weeds -- Some light-hearted horticultural fun.  Includes Strange Stories, Peculiar Pictures, Laughable Links, and even Music to Mulch by.  Don't click to this site if you don't have a sense of humor!
