Using the Purdue Extension e-invitation template

Use the Purdue Extension e-invitation template to send high-quality invitations to events like workshops or meetings using Microsoft Outlook. The template is an easy and inexpensive way to spread the word about your event and present a consistent image of Purdue Extension.
Save the e-invitation template
Basically, the steps for using this template are simple. First, you need to save the template to your computer.
E-invitation template
- Click on the "E-invitation template" link above to open the template in a new browser window.
- After the template appears, click on the "File" menu in your browser's top tool bar and select "Save As" to bring up the dialogue box.
- In the dialogue box, select the folder on your computer where you want to save the template.
- In the "File name:" box, give the template a name you will remember (such as "invitationtemplate").
- Where it says, "Save as type:" select "Web Page, HTML only (*.htm, *.html)" from the pull down menu.
- Click on the "Save" button.
Instructions for modifying the template
Click "Instructions for modifying the template" to download a PDF file of basic e-invitation instructions. If you've ever used it, you'll notice that the instructions for the Purdue Extension e-newsletter and e-invitation are basically the same.
