What is RSS?
- RSS
stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's is an, easy way
for you to receive up-to-date news about topics that interest
you without the hassle of spam messages. Instead of visiting
several Web sites every day the sites send information directly
to you, on topics you indicate. RSS feeds usually contain
article headlines, summaries and links back to the full-text
article.
What tools do I need to use RSS?
- To
receive RSS feeds you need a program known as a "news reader" or "aggregator." The
program displays RSS feeds from Web sites you select. Many
of these RSS readers are available, some free of charge.
There are also Web-based news readers. To find a reader,
search for "RSS reader" or "RSS aggregator" in the search
engine of your choice.
