This program helps train people to be better prepared to respond
to emergency situations in their communities.
National Community
Emergency Response Team (CERT)
This program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards
that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response
skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization,
and disaster medical operations.
Citizen Corps
Citizen Corps was created to help all Americans answer questions
like, "What can I do?" and "How can I help?"
through public education and outreach, training, and volunteer

The purpose of INVOAD is to bring together voluntary organizations

IDHS provides local trainings around the state covering various
topics, such as emergency management and search and rescue.
