About "Human Development"
The
mission of the Extension Human Development specialty
is to maximize the psychological, social, physical, and emotional
well-being of Indiana residents. Extension Human Development provides
non-formal educational opportunities that increase knowledge,
influence attitudes, teach skills, inspire aspirations, and encourage
behavior changes .
In Human Development, we cover the topics of Child Care, Parenting, Families, and Aging.
educational approach
Extension approaches education from a human development standpoint by focusing on the interactions of children, adults, and families and the positive and negative situations in which they live. Through relevant and meaningful educational programs and resources, Extension works to improve challenging situations and strengthen positive ones.
