Frameworks
Frameworks for programming are resources to guide professionals in formatting and organizing community educational programs. They are not specific curricula themselves (see Curriculum Guides), but they provide a structure or format for programming. Some of them provide listings of goals, objectives, and priority practices to be applied to a variety of programs. Others offer instructions and guidelines for establishing programs.
National Extension Parent Education Model (NEPEM)
NEPEM is not a curriculum, but it can help guide professionals in the use and creation of curriculum packages by addressing critical parenting behaviors.
Blue Ribbon Parenting
This programming model has been offered across the state of Indiana, usually as a parenting "mini-conference" with a keynote speaker and breakout sessions. It usually has been accompanied by a resource fair highlighting programs and services available in that community.
Mentor Mother
Purdue Extension created a program that matches teen mothers one-on-one with adult volunteer mothers who act as models, liaisons, educators, but most of all, friends. The model is similar to a Big Sisters approach.
