Explore building relationships with families that convey mutual respect and trust, that shows how you, as the in-home visitor, value differences among families and reflects that you are able to withhold judging families. Jeanne will talk about what respect and trust mean, and Jeanne will specifically identify techniques to help families reclaim their own sense of self-respect by recognizing their strengths.

Justine includes suggestions and pictures for food recall kit, visuals cues for moderate, sedentary and vigorous activity, tips for taking a food recall in a group setting. In January 2006, core competencies for FSNE paraprofessionals were released. Many of these may apply to EFNEP paraprofessionals as well.
