Your 4-H Achievements!

The 4-H Awards Committee has a series of all-new achievement awards that you just might be eligible for!  Please take a look at the summaries of the awards below and download the application/nomination forms.

 

4-H Rising Star Award

(for 4-Hers who have completed grades 3-6)

This award is for 4-H members who have completed grades 3, 4, 5, or 6.  Members must be nominated by their 4-H Club Leader on a form which is available on-line or at the Extension Office.  If you’re interested in the award, don’t be afraid to let your Club Leader know!  There is no limit to the number of 4-Hers who can receive the “4-H Rising Star” award each year.  Members may be nominated to receive the award each year they are eligible.  Recipients of the award will receive a certificate and 4-H gift at the fall Achievement Day.  (Nomination forms are available by clicking here and are due September 30th.)

 

4-H Junior Ambassador Award

(for 4-Hers who have completed grades 7-9)

This award is for 4-H members who have completed grades 7, 8, or 9 and have completed at least two years of 4-H.  Members must apply for this award on an application form that is available on-line or at the Extension Office.  There is no limit to the number of 4-Hers who can receive the “4-H Junior Ambassador” award each year.  Members may reapply for the award each year they are eligible.  First-time recipients of the award will receive a chenille 4-H patch (letter jacket style) at Achievement Day (second-time recipients will receive a 4-H picture frame and third-time recipients will receive a  4-H key chain).  Individuals who are named Junior Ambassadors are encouraged to volunteer to assist with various 4-H activities and events at the following Porter County Fair.  (Applications are available by clicking here and are due September 30th.)

 

4-H Achievement Ambassador Award

(for 4-Hers who have completed grades 10-11)

This award is for 4-H members who have completed grades 10 or 11, completed at least four years of 4-H, and have one year of 4-H eligibility remaining (i.e., you must be enrolled in 4-H during the 2010 fair season).  Two “Achievement Ambassadors”, two “Reserve Ambassadors”, and no more than six additional members of the “Achievement Board” will be selected from those who complete the application process.  The application process includes submission of an application form and a letter of reference, as well as participation in an interview with the Ambassador judges.  (More information and application packet are available on-line and at the Extension Office.)  Individuals who are named to the Achievement Board will be expected to assist with various 4-H activities and events in the year ahead, particularly at the Porter County Fair.  (Applications are available by clicking here and are due September 30th.)
