"Exploring MyPyramid with Professor Popcorn" is a nutrition and food and safety program for children in grades 1 - 6.  There are five 30 minute lessons that meet the Indiana Academic Standards for Science and Health.  The program encourages children to take an interest in eating healthy foods, using safe food-handling techniques and making physical activity part of their lifestyle.
If you are interested in inviting the current spokeswoman for the Professor, Linda Curley, to speak at your class or group, please contact her at lcurley@purdue.edu or leave a message for her at (219) 465-3555.  And check out the kid-friendly snack recipes below - fun and healthy!
