4-H & Youth Development

Volunteers

4-H Volunteers are adults in the community who volunteer to carry on the traditions of the 4-H program and work with the 4-H participants in order for them to have a positive, productive experience in 4-H.  Volunteers may work in a variety of capacities such as a Township Club Leader, County Club Leader, Project Superintendent, Livestock Committee Member, or serve on the 4-H Council or the Adams County Extension Board.

4-H Volunteers are required to follow the guidelines that are set in the publication "Adult-Behavioral Expectations to Promote the Well-being of Youth."  Volunteers are to work to the best of their abilities to keep the youth safe and provide a positive, healthy learning environment where all are accepted and valued.
