Since 1990 Purdue Tourism & Hospitality Research (PTHRC) has conducted over 30 tourism studies for convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) in Indiana. Beginning April 15th 2000, PTHRC and participating CVBs are making these study results available to the Indiana communities. 

        In order to assist Indiana counties in effectively using the information their rural tourism development and promotion,  Extension Educators affiliated with Purdue University  Leadership and Community Development Program will join PTHRC researchers by providing technical support to the tourism organizations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in those counties for whom PTHRC conducted tourism studies and made the study results available at this website. Tourism organizations, businesses, and individuals in other counties can contact PTHRC for expert advice and opinions regarding rural tourism development and marketing.
