College of Agriculture Scholarships
The College of Agriculture Scholarship Application will be available starting December 21, 2009.  Only admitted students will have access to the application starting December 21, 2009.  We strongly encourage students to apply early to Purdue (by November 15, 2009).  Admitted incoming freshmen will have until February 15, 2010 to complete and submit the electronic application.  The link for the scholarship application can be found here starting December 21, 2009 http://www.ag.purdue.edu/oap/Pages/scholarships.aspx

This website provides information on the scholarships administered by the college and departments.  In addition, there is information regarding need based scholarships and outside scholarships.  For students to be eligible for need based scholarships, they need to file the FAFSA by March 1, 2010.  Outside scholarships have deadline dates ranging from January – April 2010.  Students need to be aware of the various types of scholarships and corresponding deadline dates.  All departments within the college (except Animal Science) use the on line scholarship application to award departmental scholarships.  Please check the Animal Science website regarding their departmental scholarships: http://www.ag.purdue.edu/ansc/Pages/ScholarshipsIncoming.aspx
Purdue Scholarship Awards 2010-11

Purdue University awards most of its merit scholarships to qualified students through an automatic process based on academic information provided with admission applications that are complete by November 15, 2009. A complete admissions application includes all required material including ACT or SAT test score (including writing), high school transcript, and application fee. Purdue's largest merit scholarship awards are called the Trustees and Presidential scholarships (see criteria at University-wide scholarships.)

There also are a limited number of smaller merit scholarships, as well as need-based scholarships, that are awarded through a scholarship application process.  The deadline for admitted students to submit the Purdue Scholarship Application for these awards is February 15, 2010.  To access the Purdue Scholarship Application you must be an admitted student.  Because the admissions process can take 8-10 weeks we recommend your admission application be complete by the November 15 deadline outlined above.  This will help ensure you will be able to access the Purdue Scholarship Application prior to the February 15 deadline.

The Purdue Scholarship Application will be available on the website above on Dec 21, 2009.

Additionally, we encourage all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 in order to maximize consideration for all federal, state, and institutional funds they may be eligible to receive. The Purdue University Division of Financial Aid awards need-based scholarships to students who demonstrate certain levels of financial need and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by a March 1 priority filing date.

Scholarship Notification Process

University-wide scholarships<http://www.purdue.edu/Admissions/Undergrad/costs/merit_scholarships.html> are announced after admissions decisions are announced. Scholarship awards from colleges, schools, and departments are announced by late March 2010. Need-based scholarship awards are made as part of an overall financial aid package distributed in early April to students with a complete financial aid file.
