Enrollment Fee Announcement

4-H Youth Development

October 30, 2009

There are a couple MAJOR changes to the Marion County 4-H 2010 program which we would like to announce at this time.  NOTE:  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@indy4-Hyouth.org.  We will answer any questions asked in the November 6 CConline newsletter.

1.    Families enrolling in Marion County 4-H for 2010 will NO LONGER be charged an enrollment fee at the county level.  If your township charges a fee to cover workshops, printing, etc. that fee will be collected by the club or township.  If you have already signed up for 2010 you will be reimbursed your enrollment fee.

2.     For 2010 families will be charged for each project manual they order.  Manuals run approximately $5 each, though some cost less and others cost more.  We have listed below the link to Purdue’s Education Store so you can take a look at how much a manual for a particular project costs.  NOTE:  You will still be able to order manuals through the regular enrollment process or you may place your order through the Education Store.  However, since purchases made through the “Ed” Store are shipped directly to your home you will be responsible for all shipping costs.   Our office will continue to stock manuals for each project recognized by Marion County.   When you enroll, indicate on your enrollment form the projects your children are signing up for and pay the corresponding manual fee.  You will then receive enrollment packets which will include the requested manuals.
