Communites Against Rape (CARe) - Marion County
To this end, the CARe Initiative offers three excellent programs:
Center of Hope for Youth -a one hour presentation designed
for eighth grade through high school students
Good Touch Bad Touch -a body safety/appropriate contact program
for kindergarten students through sixth grade
Project Equality -a multi-session curricula intended for 5-6, 7-9 graders and 10-12 graders in an interactive environment, the 5-6 grade curriculum addresses bullying prevention through developing respect for oneself and for others while the 7-9 and 10-12 focuses on developing decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills with rape and sexual assualt prevention as the foundation.
You could be a Project Equality Instructor! Training and materials are provided free
of charge so that you may reach your classroom, youth group or organization.
The Youth/Adult Advisory Board is an exciting partnership between youth and adults in which participants identify the areas that interest them related to the topics of rape and sexual assault prevention. The Youth/Adult Advisory Board meets every third month and welcomes all interested youth and adults to participate.
