Intergenerational Learning Center - Marion County

Intergenerational Learning Center

The Intergenerational Learning Center is a physical and social place where youth and adults have access to academic and career resources, onsite and distance educational instruction, self-assessment tools, and guided practice to support lifelong learning and career development. The identified needs of the community drive the educational services and resources provided by the Intergenerational Learning Center (IGLC). An Intergenerational Learning Center Board of Directors guides the Center functions in a flexible and adaptable manner to adjust to the changing needs within the community, while an Intergenerational Governing Board oversees administrative functions of the Center. The Center provides a place for youth and adults to learn from one another, to serve as mentors in shared social and learning experiences, and serves as a link between educational providers and learners bringing education to the community.
