Our Success Stories - Hancock County

Your local Purdue Cooperative Extension office is one of the best kept "secrets" in Hancock County government. Here at the "Extension Office" we offer a wide array of classroom and community education classes, programs and everyday advice in the areas of Ag & Natural Resources, Lawn & Garden, Economic Development, Consumer & Family Sciences, Health and Nutrition, and more. We have one of the state's largest 4-H programs serving over 1,300 Hancock County youth, and we conduct youth leadership programs for teens such as 4-H Junior Leaders and Youth Leadership Hancock County.

We have further stretched your tax dollars by being the first Purdue Cooperative Extension office in the state to partner with the county Solid Waste Management District to offer solid waste and recycling services and educational programming.

Please look through our Web pages for more information about individual program areas. And please find below our most recent "Success Stories." We think you will be pleased and perhaps even surprised at how much bang for your buck you are getting by way of our many programs and services!
