Plan to register early as space is
limited and camp fills up rapidly.
WHERE --Three fun-filled days are planned
as Hamilton County 4-H'ers will be camping at Shakamak State Park near
Jasonville, Indiana. (south of Brazil, Indiana).
ELIGIBILITY --
4-H'ers are eligible to camp if they are enrolled in 4-H for the year 2008 and
are in grades 3-6 as of the March 1st enrollment
deadline.
ACTIVITIES -- A full and exciting camp schedule is
planned including crafts, boating, fishing, group recreation, nature education,
line dancing, and challenge courses. In addition, swimming is included every
day in a pool with a slide! Extension Youth Educators and additional adults
will attend camp with the 4-H'ers. Counselors will lead groups during the
camping program.
FEES -- The camp fee of $60.00 (approximately) covers bus transportation, meals for
three days, lodging, insurance and park admission.
Campers do need to take additional spending money to cover the cost of some arts
and crafts materials (approximately $10.00), vending machine items at
the pool, etc. Please do not bring a lot of money or other valuables with you,
as you assume responsibility of taking care of them.
REGISTRATION -- Forms
will be mailed to all eligible campers after the March 1 enrollment deadline. We can take a limited
number of campers and camp fills up fast! Ask a 4-H friend to go with you and
send in your registration early to ensure your spot!! Once registration for the
camp is full, entries will be put on a waiting list.
