Master Gardener (MG) Program - Floyd County
Floyd County Extension Office
Master Gardener Program
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Master Gardener Program, an integral part of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, provides a learning framework for participants to increase their knowledge on a wide variety of horticultural subjects. In turn, participants volunteer, representing Purdue University. The purpose of the program is to teach people more about growing plants and to more effectively extend information related to plants. To become a Purdue Master Gardener volunteer, you must attend all training sessions, pass an examination and volunteer horticultural service back to the community through programs approved by the Extension Office.
While we do not yet have the training program dates, times, location, speakers and topics all planned out, if you are interested in enrolling in the 2011 Master Gardener Training Program, please complete the application and consent form below and return them with a deposit of $25. Make your check payable to Purdue CES Education Fund and mail to Colleen Craven-Becker, Horticulture Program Assistant, Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, 3000 Technology Avenue, Suite L2110, New Albany, IN 47150.
