Clinton County

Consumer and Family Sciences

Consumer & Family Science educators are each assigned a specialty area.
The specialty area for Clinton County is human development.
The surrounding counties have CFS educators with specialty areas of
food & nutrition, family resource management, and human development.
Although each educator has a specialty area;
each one may provide information
and/or educational programs in any of the specialty areas.

The goal of the Consumer and Family Science (CFS) program is to improve the lives of families,  economic development and the social well-being throughout Clinton County .

 We motivate the public to become involved in community issues and encourage  leadership development of those individuals.  The Clinton County office collaborates  with other Extension program areas, and forms partnerships with various agencies, community organizations, and educational groups to address the needs of our neighboring families.

One of our many programs is Mommy & Me.  This year we have had a wonderful turnout.  These young mothers learn about safety programs, developmental screening, healthy eating ideas, fun & friendships, zoo trips, photo sessions, and scrapbook workshops.

 The CFS program is also provides programming such as:
