The Capital City Garden Project is a community-based educational program in Marion County promoting healthy people and greener neighborhoods through gardening. Because of the surge of interest in gardening in the past few years, the program has assisted many schools, community centers, neighborhood groups and individuals in a variety of ways.

The CCGP is a "hub" of information and resources for community gardens. An updated list of resources and services that the gardens might need (many free) is available from us for the asking.

We receive donations throughout the year - from thousands of packages of seeds, annual and perennial plants, planting supplies, manure, canning supplies, tools and much more. By keeping a list of all the community garden projects, CCGP is able to notify everyone as items are donated. We also publish a newsletter each month that contains a wealth of information for community gardeners.

The funding we receive is only for educational materials. We sponsor two annual fundraisers and use the proceeds for supplies for onsite programs that we are involved in. We also use this money to purchase garden supplies for projects just getting started and may need some help.
