MCMGA - Marion County

Marion County Master Gardener Association

There are currently two Master Gardener associations in Marion County. The Marion County Master Gardener Association (MCMGA) meets on the north side of Marion County and the Garfield Park Master Gardener Association (GPMG) meets on the south side. Membership in the Marion County Master Gardener Association is open to anyone who has participated in an approved Extension Master Gardener training program. Complete certification is not necessary prior to membership.

Monthly meetings of the Marion County Master Gardener Association (MCMG) are held the second Monday of each month from 9:30 to 11:30AM (usually at the Purdue Extension-Marion County Office, 6640 Intech Blvd., Suite 120, Indianapolis). The first hour consists of announcements, progress reports on projects, shared experiences and opportunities to volunteer. Following refreshments, a program is presented on a gardening topic of interest. The Marion County Master Gardener Association began in 1989.
